Oem offset/perect offset?

Hey everyone. I am looking to put a set of 19-20 inch wheels on my 06 automatic tl. I am wondering what the oem wheel offset is, and what the perfect offset would be for aftermarket wheels?

is it best to use the oem offset? or a 35-45 offset? im confused, please help, I just dont want the wheels to rub or stick out, and no my car isn't lowered. Thanks!

Its impossible to answer your question. There is no perfect offset and the offset you choose depends on many things including the width of the wheel, the look you want, etc etc

id say mid 30s is the perfect offset for wheels 8"wide. this is for ppl who don't want the wheels to stick out or rub. I'm on stock wheels with final offset of 30 and lowered and I dont rub.

I am looking to put 19 to 20 inchers on my TL, but I want them NOT to rub, or stick out. I want them flush with the fenders just like the OEM wheels!

I'm running 19 x 8.5 with a 35 offset and no rubbing even with rear camber near zero.

You have to consider width too... That plays a role in how it looks. Oem offset is 45 I believe. I had some 20x8.5 on 40mm offset and dropped. I rubber running the wrong tire size.
