NTB deal (buy one get one free).. Need opinion peeps, please help...
So, this is the offer that NTB currently has...
A. Buy 1 get 1 FREE tire sale valid on purchase of a set of two in stock Yokohama, Cooper *(excluding Trendsetter SE) brand tires, Pirelli Scorpion ATR, Nitto Crosstek and Sumitomo radials with purchase of a premium tire installation package with Roadside Assistance for each tire and a one year wheel alignment policy on same vehicle at time of purchase from Wednesday October 5, 2011 through Monday October 31, 2011 ONLY. No carryouts. Not valid with any other tire discount or offer. While supplies last. See store for details.
I've had Yokahomas on my old car, Pontiac grand prix gt, but my 2007 TL-S now needs a set of tires..
I have considered getting some Yokohamas again but not sure..
Need some opinions peeps any info is appreciated.
Also, what are some good things to look for when looking at tire ratings?
I live in Chicago and weather is crazy.. Could be warm one day and cold the next, rain, snow, etc...
Thanks again everyone!

I would pick Michelin and stay O.E. for such a sporty car.
But deals are deals and would consider Yoko ADAN
based on your deal list.

The thing with changing tires from O.E. is you really dont
know till you drive on them. So going non O.E. is often
a shot in the dark.

i hate NTB, but that's my own personal bad experience with them.
what are you looking for in a tire? the current popular flavor for the TL currently are the conti DWS (i have these as well as many others), or the micheline pilot a/s.
everybody has different needs for tires depending on personal preference (driving style), climate etc.
go to tirerack.com and read over the reviews and the ratings of different tires. if you search for tires on here you'll get an idea of what people are riding on. the NTB special...they always have them. be careful of those specials and what tires they apply to...you pay for what you get.

I've had good experiences with Cooper tires on my previous car, a Solara V6 coupe. I wasn't happy with the original Bridgestones or the Michelin Pilots. I put 148k miles on the car in 6 years and wore out a few sets of tires. All the tires were V rated. The Coopers were the quietest and had the best traction in dry, wet, and snowy conditions.

Who the hell is NTB?
Anyways, I just replaced my Pirelli P6 Four seasons with Yokohama YK580s. These are great tires. I hated the Pirellis. They rode rough, didn't last long and were noisy as hell. The Yokohamas are out performing the Pirellis. I hate Michelins. They are over priced for what they are. They lose their comfort fast imo.

Discount tire is also a great place for tires, they will match pricing with tirerack and they are very reasonable. Every Discount Tire I've been to has treated me exceptionally well and taken care of me.
