Noise from behind
I'm getting some kind of rotational rumble type of noise that increases with speed and it sounds like it's coming from the left rear wheel. I know my rear brake pads are getting close to replacement (theres a tab that should hit the rotor and make a horrible sound similar to the front pads, correct?) but the noise doesn't change when the brakes are applied. Only with variation in speed of the vehicle. I'm thinking wheel bearing as that's pretty much the only thing back there. But with not even 60k miles I'm shocked it could be anything like that. Anyone have any ideas?

I thought I'd update this a bit. No change in the noise by rotating the tires front to rear. No noticeable play in the wheels at any corner. And an attempt at loading/unloading the suspension resulting in the noise being virtually eliminated with a hard left-hand turn (unloading the left side suspension). The noise has come on quickly, less that 1000 miles and is now loud enough to be heard over music in the cabin set to a moderate listening level. It becomes evident about 20mph and increases in cadence with speed.
About all I can come up with is some strange galling of a bearing but detecting what and where still eludes me.

I cross rotated the wheels/tires to completely eliminate the tires and the noise still diminished when turning left and unloading the left side suspension so off to the dealer it went for warranty service. Final diagnosis was the left rear wheel bearing as suspected.
