New Coilovers: Reuse top hats or buy new?
Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and the 3g TL game. I just bought a '08 NBP Base with about 45k on it. My new coilovers came in today, TEIN SS, which i will be installing with a new Progressive RSB.
My question is this, should i buy new top hats and bushings, or reuse the ones on there now? And if the general consensus is to buy new, should i buy aftermarket, OEM Base replacements, or OEM Type-S?
Another question not pertaining to the top hats, should i run stiff or soft on the rear sway bar? (It will be DD)
Thanks guys,

short answer
1. reuse the ones on there ...
2. soft (I noticed that on stiff setting the rear end can be a little loose in the rain and even more with passengers in the back) ... but if u have no rear passengers and rain … go stiffy, It dose corner a bit better

If you have to dis-assemble the Top Hats anyhow, you might consider Type-S bushings. If your car were older, I'd definelty recommend replacing the bushings. In this case I only suggest it because the '07/'08 Base suspension is the softest 3G suspension and these bushings may offer a bit more improvement.
I'll also suggest you run your RSB on "soft" (at least to start) considering you've got the base FSB and that you're jumping from ~18mm up to 24mm on the RSB (pretty big difference).
