need some wheel help plz

i finally decided to buy new wheels for my 04 auto tl. im going to buy 18x7.5" ace manta wheels with 235/40-18 tires.

i dont understand what offset or a spacer is. can someone explain this to me and do i need to use either?

is the wheel gap going to be the same, worse or better then the oem tires and wheels?

any help is appreciated. can anyone recommend a good site that sells these wheels?

You also realize the wheel your looking at is narrower then the stock ones?

Gap will be the same.

If you buy wheels for this car, get at least x8 wheels.
