Need Some Guidance Please!

So, My 18th birthday is coming up on the 25th, im assuming ill be getting some money together... i already have around 950$. I assume ill have around 1500-1700$. I want too put all my money into my 08 wdp tl-s. Im aiming for stance before performance. I want to lower it and get an A-Spec lip kit. I want to get pretty low, so can anyone help me with finding springs that drop you real low? and where can i purchase an a-spec lip kit? i'd like to clear out the front of my head lights and also get my other bulb in my head lights hid, and hid fogs. Im just a beginner when it comes to this stuff, so any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks alot guys

I suggest going for Coilovers instead of springs, you can adjust the height as well as the dampers.

head over to http://www.heeltoeauto.com/
and to http://store.excelerateperformance.com/
you can also PM these two individuals to further help you choose which coil over is the best for you.
here are their user names.
Josh = Excelerate
Mr.heeltoe = MrHeeltoe

You can purchase the Aspec kit from our vendor AckTL05.
Here is his group buy thread. https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?p=12635278
$725 is the lowest Ive seen it, ever.

Yeah I know that coilovers are a better solution, but i dont really have money like that right now so i'd much rather get springs that can drop me low for fairly cheap. any suggestions?

NOOBS that want to have their cake and eat it too....
PM Josh or Heeltoe.
they are in the business, they will recommend something for you.

you stated that you will have around 1700.....minus the 725 for the kit....that leaves you with about 950....which HEEL TOE is selling a coil over kit that meets your requirements.....of being low and cheap.

you also stated that you wanted to go LOW. you will not achieve LOW with springs

Also be aware that really low means being really careful and going slow. Especially in New Jersey I would think that will be asking for trouble. Maybe some other NJ guys can chime in. You dont want to tear up that lip kit right away and I know at 18 its hard to be slow and careful. At least for me it was! With just springs really low you are going to loose alot of suspension travel which can cause some handling issues. Good luck and happy birthday!

I got the heeltoe HT spec type 2's in my 07 TLS...I highly reccomend you spend your money on that suspension or something equivalent. You don't wanna have a shitty ass ride in a sweet ass car, know what I mean. Get some coilovers with damper adjustments if you have that much money to play around with. It's real nice being able to adjust height and stiffness/softness of the suspension settings. There is a few companies with nice setups, do some research and pick what's best for your needs. Just remeber your driving a TLS not a civic. Pick a good suspension or you'll be kicking yourself in the ass for
not spending the xtra money in the future.

I'll tell you this, best $900 bucks I've spent so
far on my ride. Well worth every cent.

like others said, go for the coilovers.

i'm not one to talk, bc i put eibach springs on mine a few months ago. and while i like the way it looks, i def want to upgrade to coils by springtime, just so that i can play with the height and get the exact look i want, not just a look that i have to deal with w/ the springs. once you install springs, thats it...thats how it's going to look. with coils, you can adjust everything to fit exactly what you want.

We have some springs on sale in this thread:

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-performance-parts-modifications-112/xlr8-performance-tl-parts-clearance-sale-797116/

Also keep in mind that the lowering will be slightly more on the TL-S in the front since the 3.5 is somewhat heavier than the 3.2.

yeah man, im gonna go with the coilovers you suggested, ill ask my pops for some extra money to pay for them and the installation because if i get the ones you did ill be short w/ installation fee's.

happy modding! but at 18.. i suggest not to blow it all ur money on just car stuff and put some into savings.. just a suggestion. haha but yes, i'd recommend coils and aspec kit to be FIRST mods. The type 1 coils from heeltoe are inexpensive, u can drop it to whatever height u want, and comfortable enough for a daily driver yet stiff enough to have some fun on some turns.
