Need to roll fenders?

I just ordered some spacers to put on my 06 TL. i got 25mm for the backs and 15mm for the fronts. My car is lowered on tein basics and they are maxed out to the lowest thread. my question is do you guys think i will have to role my fenders with the spacers combined with 18x8" rims and the coilovers?

25mm spacers? it depends on the offset. What is the wheel and offset of the wheel. Without that info how the hell can anyone give oyu the right answer.

they are 18' rims with 8' width and 225/40/18. is that what you need?
and same question for the stockies

no that doesn't work at all. Find out what the offset means first. Then find out what the offset of the wheels you have is. Then ask the question.

then with 25mm spacers that would make your wheels a final offset of 13mm and I would think that you would need to roll the rear fenders if you are that low. Roll and possibly run some camber.

i think 25mm offset in rear is a lil too much id only go 15mm spacers max all the way around

Needs a roll. My stockies on 20mm spacer scrap sometimes (not tire gouging but noticeable)

Don't bother with the baseball bat method...it works to initially bend the fender up and in for SOME clearance, but with as low as you are and as big as those spacers are...you'll need the fender rolled COMPLETELY in.

Google it, there are sites that rent you the heat gun to heat up the paint and the fender roller for $50 plus shipping.

I opted to remove the spacer and change the offsets back (front/rears are different)...wasn't worth the aggravation and rubbing and cringing every time I turned or hit a bump...

Depending on what you ordered from...do not install if you plan to return anything...they said no return because I had opened and installed...lucky my gf's 08 accord coupe needed spacers in the rear BAD, and she's not slammed, just lowered a little.

No sir, did 20MM Ichiba's...was running my work emotions with the +35 up front and the +45 in the rear WITH the spacer...
was sitting flush, but TOO flush.
Here is one from when I had it this way, lasted me a week.

Thanks guys...very much!
Hmmm...you know, I'm smart and have a college degree and all...but can't for the life of me wrap my head around offsets...the front had +35's and the rear had +45 AND the 20MM spacer. How do you calculate that?

Also, don't worry, she sits pretty flush normally...just doesn't rub, here is another pic (not to clutter your thread OP...sorry)

ANYWAY, back OT...worst case, I'm thinking you can do the 15 on the back and return the 25 for a 10 or nothing...the back is really what needs it. Also, if you lower it, get camber kits...straightening out the wheel makes it look a LOT more flush!

I believe that would mean that you have +25 and +35 offset.

and is the 20mm spacer ONLY in the rear? then 45mm-20mm= +25 right?

Sorry, I miscalculated, its should be +15 and +25?? Hmm, seems a bit off but I think that's what it is.

First off, Rockstar, thats a beautiful TL! Well done nice and clean.
I just bought myself some sweet 19" wheels for christmas and im wonderinh what size tire to go with. I want a lil bit if stretch, my wheels specs are 19" x9" +35.

I was thinking 235/35/19. Also right now i have 15mm spacers. Would i be able to keep them on as long as i roll fenders(i plan to anyway)? Im lowered on megans. I want to tuck a lil tire, pretty much exactly like ur setup.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hey man...let me begin with a THANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENT. She's my pride and joy, put a lot of love/work into her.
Ok, with the +45 in the rear WITH the 20MM spacer...if I had been rolled I would have been able to work with the 235's

With the +35 up front...I DEFINITELTY could not have run that WITH A spacer without touching, even with a roll.

IMO, you will not be able to run the spacer (or may not need to). About tires...with the set up I have now...JUST +35 rear, and +45 front...no spacers...and a ghetto fender roll (read = heat gun and baseball bat!) I could NOT even run a 245. I did a 235 35 19...Falken 452's fill the gap in well at a 235 so that it doesn't look stretched. The Hankook Evo's looked stretched...at a 235.

If you're talking PULLING fender, then my info is useless. Good luck and hope this helps!

OH, AND, forgot one MAJOR point...I'm running camber kits FRONT and REAR...so am set up with -1 rear and -.5 front. If you have negative camber you may be able to squeeze in the spacer and/or bigger tire.

J.

Thanks for feedback and quick reply. Im thinking of eagle f1 assymetric for my tire. Ive read many good things on them plus i get a good discount on them from a friend of mine. But i was talking about stretching a lil tire on the rim ur info is indeed useful. I figured also that i prob wouldnt need the spacers anymore, but id much rather not have them.

Only shitty thing is i got longer studs so i guess i will need extended open lugs or cut the studs down. Either of which is not a huge deal.

Oh, gotcha, I ended up getting the Type II spacers...so it was easy to revert back. Shouldn't be an issue although you may want to swap out...wait and see, maybe the spacers will work and you won't have the problem. I know if you cut the thread of the stud partway thru, it may be tough to get the lugnut to "grab" and start threading.

daym im still thinking of thorwing some spacers on my set up... my fronts a lil weak being a 19"x8" rim with a +40mm offset and all

the rears a 9.5" wide rim so the +40mm offset isnt bad if i push out the rears anymore i deff will have to roll

what you guys think +15mm spacer up front and +10mm in rear?? if i do rear i gota get longer studs pressed in

I think it looks perfect just as it sits...
functionality is key. You dont' want to be out the money you spend on spacers just to find out they rub.

Worst case, measure you much space you have left...then convert to MM, then pick a spacer...just remember, next set of tires may have a different sidewall and may rub.

^ yea i hear yah the fronts just seem a lil set in for my and if i only go 10mm spacers ichiba doesnt make ones with attached studs so id have to press out the old and put in longer ones ... 15mm spacers is like a little more than half an inch so i couldnt imagine it making a huge difference but at the same time its like $140 bucks!

maybe ill just roll a lil weak sauce for now lol im running pretty wide tires to wana get too close to my fenders...

hmmmm damnit why does everything cost $$$ lol what did u do with your spacers?
