Need to replace my struts (2005 Acura TL)
Forgive me for posting in the wrong area if I'm doing so. One of my first posts on the board here.
Long story short: I bought an 06 White TL last year with my insurance payout for totaling my Lexus IS300. Then this last december (on friday the 13th OoOoOo) a woman spun out in front of me on the highway and hit me head on. White TL = totaled.
Managed to find another good TL with the subsequent payout but the only catch was that I have to replace the struts myself. I believe it's just the front struts that I need to replace but if they are cheap enough, is it a bad idea to replace all 4 if the front ones are bad?
Secondly, what source do you guys recommend for buying stock replacement parts? I don't want anything special. Just want my car to be functioning as normal.

take a look at this page:
http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no
if you plan on re-using your old springs, then you can get away with just buying the "shock absorber" at 215 dollars.
maybe there is a cheaper option on ebay that is PLUG AND Play.

Intermediate
AcurapartsOEM and also 2003-07 Accord uses the same struts. not same part number if your talking OEM but any aftermarket, the Accord and TL suspension can be interchanged.

Seems like a good opportunity to go Aspec or aftermarket. I think Aspec is 600ish for all 4 with springs included, slight drop and better handling. Aspec is "stock" upgraded. You could also put up a post in the black market, I'm sure plenty of people have low mile stock shocks lying around that they would sell for next to nothing.

All I want is to replace the struts. No more. I don't care to put in new shocks unless the car needs it. My budget is extremely tight. Cheapest option to get the job done sufficiently is what I'm going for. I appreciate the responses so far though.
