I have put about 65K on my original Michelin Energy, so I need to replace them pretty soon. I have called around few places, and Michelin is very expensive compare to other brands.

I'm not an aggressive driver. My main concern is safety and tread life of the tires. I would appreciated it if any of you can offer advise from your experiences:

1. Few places have recommended Yokohamas 420. Have any of you had experience with these?
2. Any other tires you can recommend for safety and tread life?
3. Best quoted price is from Discount Tire Co/America's Tire Co for both Michelin and Yokohamas. Any bad experience with them?

I am looking at the new Yokohama H4s/V4s which has a treadwear of 500. SHould last at least as long as the Michelin and be a better tire since it is newer. The YK420 apparently get noisy with age.

I put Yokohama AVS dB S2's on my 2000TL and they are really good. Quiet as they all say, Good looking with an agressive tread pattern, and offer an excellent grip compared to stock Michelins. It has all that you can ask for from an All-Season tire. I am very satisfied.

Another good choice would be the Kumho ASX All Season.
