Need help TPMS question 2006 TL

ok so i know for sure that one of the sensors is not working on my 2006 TL, it stays at 58 psi and after awhile of driving i get the TPMS "system error" msg on the dash and i also went to pepboys and they checked for FREE and showed me 1st hand that its dead. i called the Acura dealer in Glendale and they said it would cost $210 to replace, reprogram and install 1 new sensor. i've been reading on the forum that on the 2006 TL you don't need to be reprogram anything as long as you get the correct sensor. is that correct? the more people that had this problem the better that way i can know for sure and the other is this the correct part number i need 06421-S3V-A03. thanks guys!

correct. just put a new one on. they usually go for $100 a set used on ebay or here on azine. and install it yourself, just take it to a tire shop to unmount the tire. its either 11mm or 12mm deep socket to install it. then mount tire back, then you're done.

i heard these sensors usually fail because the battery dies after couple years...not sure how true that is

Buy the part from one of the vendors on here for a hefty discount from list, take it to discount tire and they'll charge 25 bux to put it in and balance the tire for life!
