Need help selecting wheel choice

considering factors

- budget: 2k or less including tires. Will make exceptions on certain choices. Open to clean replicas
- car is daily driven and I see a fair share of shitty roads
- must not ever rub no matter how fucking hard I turn in every which way
- need to clear oem brembo...
- must be aesthetically pleasing
- must be very functional
- diameter as a whole must be close to oem as possible
- i will perfer to not roll my fenders
- possibly not too big in diameter because my car feels like a bronco and bumps shoot straight into the interior... can't afford to run too low of a profile tire

note: I am -1.5 camber all around right now. I have a rear camber kit, I do not want the rear camber to exceed the front to clear anything

with that said I was thinking of forgestar or volkte37

who makes custom lugs where thief ass shits can't ever get their hands on? I'd like open ended lugs with a set up that can turn it into a rotary mini gun and blast thieves and other baddies. Or somehow my wheels just rotate over 9000rpm and saw off their legs or arms when they reach in to grab it

but finding proper fitting wheels to fit these brakes and without compromising feel gets me frustrated often. I perhaps have not been looking enough but i'll be browsing the wheel pics thread occasionally

Will a tire stretched and smaller to not rub I.e 215 or 225 on a 18x9.5 around 12-30 offset cause handling to suffer horribly? Taking this route into consideration as well to open up more choices...

It might not be easy to find a set of Forgestars or TE37s with tires for less than $2k.

Have you looked into Varrstoens? Replica wheels that a lot of people have.

yea i'm looking into it, the question still remains which is most proper fit with proper diameter

varrstoen TE may fit better but i'd definitely like to try to fit a LM rep properly.

You can get Forgestar F14's in 18x8.5/18x9/18x9.5, in any offset for $1300 and change from Throwdown, so your budget is doable if you select a modestly priced tire. TPMS, lugs, mount and balance will put you a little over, but not much.

which offsets per size would allow me to not need to mod the fenders what so ever? while running proper diameter all around and no sacrifice to handling like a lunatic

time to get back onto looking at some f14s =)

I don't want to roll fenders either. I'm going with 18x8.5 at +33 or 34 front and +28 or 29 rear with 235/40-18's. That will put my wheels out 17.35 or 18.35mm and 22.35 or 23.35mm over stock. Should be ok. I'm around where you are camber wise.

^Even with those specs, if you don't roll your rear fenders, you're going to rub.

I'm running 18x8.5 +25 in the rear with a 235/40/18 and I'm VERY close to rubbing even with my fenders rolled.

I'm not sure why you're against rolling the fenders. Better to be safe than sorry.

There is a thread about wheel fitment...do a search and if you dont find anything, then post a reply and murph should get you taken care of. Im sure someone has asked about similar specs youre asking for so just find it.

Only when you go over extreme bumps[\b] will you hit the very inner portion of the lining that you cut off. My rear fendors are rolled paper thin to the point where its basically non existant and my next setup I am sure I can run an 11 inch wide rim in the rear which I plan on doing. By refusing to shave the front fenders not only did I avoid having to put some clear coat on the shaved portion....but I also kept the strength and formation of the OEM fender shape.
quoth w/ iPhone is hard so the bolded text could be bolded wrong. Anyways it appears we may clear the front w/o rubbing w/ 8.5-8.75 25-45 offset on 235/40 with our camber. I may raise my car all around slightly so subject to change. Although I don't expect my front static camber to go more Positive than -1.3 with the amount I wanna raise

However, I rolled my fenders to prepare for these wheels JUST IN CASE. I've done a lot of research on my wheels and fitment, and a lot of guys on here say I wouldn't even have to roll the fenders, but I wanted to rather be safe than sorry. However, looking at the wheels now, if you run a 225/40/18 tire on my 18x9 +29 Forgestar F14s, I actually don't think it will rub at all. Shoot me a PM if you have any questions
