New tires were recently mounted on my stock TL wheels by the dealer. All four of the rims now have scratches around the edge of the rim about 1/4" to 1/2" from the edge. The scratches are deep enough that they can be felt with your finger nail.

What would be the best repair for this damage. I have no experience in repairs for this type of damage.

I live in an area of heavy road salt which I believe would be a major issue for getting the repair done.

When the dealer gets back an offers repair I would like to know what is the best method.

Man, tell yor dealer to replace your rims. They didn't use the proper equipment to do the work! I just had this problem happen at discount tire and they bought me 4 new rims without hassle at all. The showed me why it happened and how they ordered new parts for their tire mounting or removal machine (not sure what it was exactly). Anyway, I have 4 brand new rims... they were just put on the car on Wed.
