Question motegi???

sup errone,

i just got my 2002 tl-s in december and i'm lookin to get some new sets. i'm not tryin' to spend too much $$, so i've been checkin' out some motegi's- the mr7 gunmetal 18x7.5's sepcifically.

any opinions on these or how gunmetal may look on the tl?

thanks

They look like the Konig Tantrums. IMO you should get the REAL Japanese AV6 rims even they are much more expensive.
The only thing about motegi is that they only make up to 18 inch wheels. Secondly they are VERY heavy! I think they weigh somthing like 30 lbs a wheel?

what about offset then??

i hear that. although, i don't want to sacrafice any meals for these rims either.

just a general question. for something like 18x7.5's riding on 225/40/18s, what kind of offset do i need to look for, 38mm or so??

thanks.

the motegi comes in a 45 offset. That is ok, but a high offset is better. But I don't think they have anything higher than 45.

The MR7s are 27lbs. Someone in Vancouver has a set on their TL. A white TL with gun-metal rims. I'm not sure if it rubs though.

You got mail! And also, you might want to check ebay. I did last time and these rims do come in a 18 x 7.5 with a 45 offset!! Cheap too, like 600 bucks for a set.

I don't know where "Nova" is... but if you guys have a Costco... check them out... cause our local Costco actually sells Montegi wheels in the tire department... and if I remember right... the prices were pretty good... so, if you decide on them... stop by your local Costco first...
