MOMO GTR wheels and rivet/screws...

I have a set of 18" MOMO GTR's on my TL. They are chrome and I wanted to change them up a little bit by trying out some Plasti-Dip color on them. Near the lip they have small allen head screws and I dont want them painted. Is it safe to remove the screws while I plasti-dip the rims? I took out one with an allen wrench and it came out fine. They are the one piece rims and it doesn't look like they actually hold anything on...they just look like they are for looks. I'll probably use lock-tite when re-applying them afterwards. i dont see why this can be done but figured I'd ask incase anyone has some input.

That should be fine. At least Momo used real bolts. Some other companies are just fake ones that don't come out. But just fair warning... It maybe harder to put them back. The plasti-dip will make the holes a bit smaller. So just keep that in mind. Unless you cover them.

I figured it would be ok but doesn't hurt to ask, I appreciate the quick response! Thanks!

No problem at all, but in my opinion... I would probably powder coat. But that's permanent. Haha.

Im not sure I want them black or 2 tone yet. I was thinking I would Plasti-dip them in the winter and run them chrome in the summer (They use gravel when it gets icy here sometimes and figure it might help protect the chrome). If they were cheaper rims I might consider but the chrome looks so good with the WDP color when it gets sunny here, this way its like getting 2 sets of wheels when i want a change ...thanks again!
