Arrow Megan Monotube VS. TEIN SS/Basics Dual

What is the going opinion on this?
Which is better for long term comfort, etc.
I had Megans on my RSX. Not a bad ride but a little harsh. I have Tein on my TL now (I'm returning them because they have issues and were used...long story) and it's nice and smooth and soft.

How much better is it to be able to lower car without affecting preload?

Has anyone used the camber plates built into the megans to adjust front or rear camber? If so, by how much?

Thank you,
J.

Anyone? I need to pull the trigger on some new ones today. I'm leaning toward TEIN because they seem a little better designed and they ride smoothly for how low I have the ones I have now. The spanner wrenches are thicker and the threads to lower and raise the car are wider so it takes less turns of the perch to make changes.

Camber correction used?
Mono vs. dual tube design?
lowering without affecting preload?

TEIN definitely has a better build quality and they are more designed for a daily driver. Megan's will be firmer. A monotube construction is better than the twin tube but I don't think you will ever notice the difference on a street car.

Thank you sir...that is exactly what I was looking for! After rereading the differences I DID get the impression that it was more geared toward racing and track stuff. I had megans on my rsx and I wasn't impressed with little subtle quality indicators (i.e. rinky dink skinny spanner wrenches etc).

TEIN is for me. Thank you!

idk i have D2 which is made by the same people i believe and the quality is pretty damn good. ive seen ALOT of issues with teins seizing and what not. Also the ride is softer on my d2s than tein SS's at comparable damp levels.

I have ss's right now and i have to say that I'd be VERY surprised if the D2's were softer. I had megans on another car and the ride was MUCH firmer than the current tein's, even set at soft. Any softer than Tein's and I'd venture to say someone sold you a 1985 Deville suspension!

Obviously, we'll all defend what we spend nearly, or over a grand on to put on our own cars. Nothing wrong with that. Bottom line is what we have is what we have to be happy with.
