Lowering springs

Hey guys .i recently purchased a 08 type s .the previous owner said it was lowered on d2 springs stock struts I've only had the car for 2 months ,2 weeks ago I started hearing a clunk sound from the back 😕😕 is that my strut bottoming out ??? Please help any information is helpful .thanks in advance 😎😎

^actually, we really have no clue. 96sc4 cannot possibly determine that the shocks are bad, as he said probably.

also, a clunk doesnt mean that its bottoming out.

80k miles is a baby for shocks, however, its not uncommon for shocks to blow before 80k.
you're going to have to do some trouble shooting.by yes, taking the car apart.

there's no other way as we cant give you a definite YES your shocks are blown by simply taking your word that its a clunk.

a clunk can be any thing.

^^^yeah, I was just assuming he had way more miles. That's why I asked how many...

80k isn't a lot of miles... But with that said, lowering springs and stock shocks, usually don't play well together for very long.

I would definitely need to take a look at the car to diagnose, but it is very possible the lowering springs have blown out your stock shocks. They definitely don't play well together. You'll want to pair those springs up with a shock like the Koni Yellow.. or just go with a coilover

i already had some money put away for some coilovers so hopefully that will fix the problem .im not to car savy but I really appreciate your guys help 96sc4/justnspace/exceleraterep . I will be updating the thread after I do so thanks again ��������
