when you remove the strut assemblies, you're going to need a spring compresser. you can rent one of them for around $50 at any autozone, and when you return it, you can get your money reimbursed. the need for the spring compresser is because when you remove the top hats, the spring will thrust with great amounts of force causing possible injury. then all you do is replace your old spring with new spring. the diy is pretty much self explanatory. another tip, make sure you start early, because if its your first time don't expect it to all go according to plan.
