Lightest wheels...

What would you guys say are the lightest wheels on the market...

I am looking, not for bling factor, but rather performance, in the form of weight reduction...

I know OZ has pretty light wheels...

Can you guys help me with suggestions of other manufacturers which produce rims which could meet that criteria...?

Thanks

My Prodrive GC 010's are 19.5 lbs each

They are 19" x 8.5" with a 36mm offset. I bought them, but had them chromed in August because I didn't like the silver color. Too much $$$$

Thank you all for the info...

I hear alot about Volks... on this site...

Are they that good...???

My first choice at this point would be OZ Racing... (Superllegera or Superturismo)

But I'm open to anything...

What's most important is weight ... then and only then would style and look come into it...

So in other words... FUNCTION BEFORE FORM...

Thanks again...

there was another thread that talked about rotational inertia. it is also very important as to where the mass is located on a rim. a rim that has lots of mass near the tire makes it difficult to de/accellerate as opposed to a rim that has most of it's mass near the hub.

Volks really are that good...they are used and trusted by everyone from drifters in 86 Corollas to people in Skylines that re pushing 1200+ horsepower. They are strong wheels that weigh very little and have some great style. Also, since they are Japanese wheels, they tend to compliment cars like ours quite well. My pics can be seen in the photos section, otherwise, you live close enough that we could meet up and I could show you my wheels if interested...feel free to PM me

Work Emotion CR Kai are 19 pounds for 18x9.5" rims. They aren't too expensive either, they are like $350 per rim. It is a cast rim, but they said that their new Kai process yields a very strong rim. Work is really popular in Japan, right behind Rays (Volk). They look sweet too... If you want forged, the Regular Work Emotion is a forged rim. The Emotion CR is cast, but weighs more than the Emotion CR Kai.

Oh ya, Salut...Works are pretty good, and I know a local place to check some out in person if you find any that you like...they may be a more simple design that you are looking for, but they do have a couple of mesh styles available...although I am still a Volk man

I love my HRE 547's...I've had them now for about 6 months and no bends! They are 19x8.5 and weigh 24 lbs, but they're 3 peice forged. 3 peice always weigh a little more than 1 piece.

I looked at the HREs and damn a little pricey for me...

But beautiful wheels, nay gorgeous wheels...

Thanks for the input...
