Let's talk sway bar's
I just got my H&R sport springs from a member here (new) and now I am looking into opinions on sway bars. My TL is a base auto and I would like to know what would be the best route and what brands? I am looking into H&R or Progress mainly and would the rear be the best place to start first?
My goals are to achieve flatter/tighter cornering for spirited driving on the back of the dragon mountain where I live in Southwestern Va and I want to get into autocrossing again one day. Basically I just want to tighten up the car because right now I feel like I'm piloting a boat. Stock shocks are in great shape since the car only has 32k miles. Will look into upgrading them next year...

Most people upgrade to the Progress RSB. It's 24mm and adjustable.

You can do a type s front sway bar and the progress rear sway bar. That's what I plan on doing once I find a decently priced progress rsb
From what I've researched on here the two paired together is a really good upgrade for our base models

Wondering if anybody has any suggestions for upgrades on a 2006 with 6 speed manual.
The car has about 97,000 miles on it - and, aside from A-Spec rims, it has the stock original suspension. It's at the point where it definitely needs new struts and I always figured once I got to that point I'd upgrade the entire suspension. This is going to be street car, I won't be racing it or even autocrossing it - but I'm looking to make it handle better.
I've driven a 4G TL and it felt better than my car. I'd like to make the car feel more "planted".
I've seen the A-Spec kits for sale on Ebay - but after reading this thread I'm wondering if that's the best way to go.

Agree on the solid 27 mm front TL-S bar, just ordered one for my car this morning. Cheaper than aftermarket and if you pair it with Moog end links and urethane D bushings it should be a noticeable upgrade. And an aftermarket rear bar would be good too, keep the stiffer front bar from adding too much understeer.
I have an Accord sedan that came with a 13 mm rear bar, upgrading to the 20 mm TL/S bar helped the car rotate a lot better, so I imagine going from a 20 mm to 23-24 mm rear bar would have the same effect on a TL.

I'm looking around and the H&K front bar is 28mm - so it sounds like the TL-S bar is 1mm smaller. The Progress rear bar is 24mm - but they don't make a front bar. Does anybody know if Progress has a front bar they intend this rear bar to be mated with?
