Question Konig Wheels

I saw an ad in Sport Compact Car for these Konig Flatline wheels. They look pretty sharp. They come in Silver or Black Opal. This picture is not that great....

Is this a good company for wheels? If I wanted to put them on my TL-S *without* increasing the diameter (i.e. stay at 17"), would the TL-S use size 7x17 or 8x17.

I am a total moron when it comes to wheels, I have no clue about anything concerning them.

What do you guys think?

Thanks,

:-jon

Not 100% sure, but I don't think the 17's version of these wheels come in the right offset for our cars.

Speed is right Jon. Koni 17's usually only come in a +40 offset. If you do decide to do it, your stock tim is 6.5 inches wide so you would be fine with 17x7 inch. 8 is way to wide for that offset.

If you buy performance tires, you won't be able to match the stock diameter of 25.46 inches exactly, you will have to get 215/45-17 which is almost an inch smaller. You could opt for the 225/45-17's close the gap.

If you want all-seasons, then you can get the 215/50 or the 225/50 (slightly larger)

Since the offset is so low, I would recommend the 215/50s to give you some extra clearance.

I thought of the same but I didn't feel comfortable. People have had to cut the rear fender.
Where were you last week when I was asking around?

If they fit with your 8 inch rims, they would have fit with my 7.5 inch.

I had no idea! I just thought they looked clean. I do not particularly like a "chrome" wheel, so these looked OK. Ours (TL-S) are fine.

That's why I asked!!
