i think you should not get rims at all then. Konig knockoffs. do you know how lowly that is? Konig IS a knockoff brand itself. Look at their tantrum wheels. They're just a knockoff of the AVS model 7. Look at the Konig monsoons, a cheap wannabe 3 piece cast piece of crap immitation of the real 3 piece forged Volk AV3s. Please.

Yeah Konigs are not the greatest quality. They copy a lot of the popular models. See if you can find out more about the quality of these BSA rims.

It's like Rice1304...he's a wannabe acura-tl.com member.... a knockoff of a real TL.com member

A big cost of the rims is the actual design of the rims. As long as the metal used and the process is the same, you are basically buying a design and name. Those rims might be knockoffs, but then again, they might be made by the same parent company, as with a lot of other products, but sold under a different name to attract buyers with less money. A good example of this is in your grocery store. Your grocery store brand is made by the same company that makes the name brand products, the only difference is a different label is slapped on. Personnally, I would probably go with the name brand...choice is yours...

If that is the only difference, then go for it. Kind of like designer fakes...only a jewler can tell

Seems to be that everyone has an negative comment lately about Konig rims and their quality...well I have had 18" Konig Verdict wheels for like 5 months now and haven't had any problem at all, no bending or anything and I drive my car extremely hard all the time...I bought them for the design regardless of price, I would have paid more if I had too...just a plus I guess that they were inexpensive...I get alot of positive comments on my car and rims all the time, so go figure...shimbo 519 it's your money do what you want with it, if you like them get them.

all i got to say is that you have a 30k car and if you put cheap rims on the car won't it de-value your purchase, its just a thought

Is there truly such a thing as "cheap" rims, $$$$-wise, of course. Besides, what makes a rim cheap? Metal used? Process used to manufacture them? IMO, you buy a design and a name. Somebody please provide proof that the more expensive rim manufacturers use a better metal or a better process. Just because something costs more doesn't ALWAYS mean it is better...if that was the case, then there would be no need for marketing, at least in this case.

you know your right, i know for most rims companies there is really no difference except for the name and that all companies that have a similar style come from the same manufacturing plant. But the name is what you pay for and the name helps you resell it in the future.

when you're paying for the name on top of any item, you gotta remember the name was built on quality. Do you think Giorgio Armani would sell suits if they had shotty stitching but still cost a fortune?

You've(well, not you, but people) got some real issues if you only wear stuff that celebrities wear.

That's my whole point. Armani doesn't manufacture anything they sell...it's all contracted out; some sweat-shops, etc. They just sell their labels and designs. And you do notice that most people want what the celebs have. I'm not saying the quality of Armani is shotty, but it isn't necessarily any better than brands that cost less, it's just more recognized.

So you're saying that Armani clothes are mislabeled? B/c my dad has something like 8 pairs of slacks and a dozen shirts and a couple of suits, all Armani...and every one of them says "made in Italy".

They have sweat shops in Italy...and everywhere else in the world. Besides, Armani isn't the only designer to have suits that are "made in Italy"...DKNY is made in Italy, although the acronym stands for Donna Karen New York...does that make sense??? I'm not saying that they are mislabeled, but that quite possibly one or two manufacturers are contracted to use Armani designs when they make the suits. Those same manufacturers probably make lots of other "Italian made" suits, such as DKNY, etc...

Another example, besides the store brand product one, is that someone said in a thread that our factory Bose stereos aren't even made by Bose, but that Bose sub-contracted out to another manufacturer and just put their name on it.

I like Armani, just can't afford it

then they must work really hard in those sweatshops b/c the quality of my dad's Armani clothing is supreme.

Oh, and I also like/can't afford Armani stuff....I only have one of his suits and it was a h.s. graduation gift from my parents

well for their top of the line stuff... It's QUALITY.....

I got into a fight with some fackers in a formal... he poped a bottom off my suit. Only when I go get it fixed I realized how hard it is to have them look exactly like they did before...

Now I might not making myself clear here... cuz I am too lazy to write a long ass post... but in short... yes you do pay for the name.... You PAY A LOT for them name... but you get quality, too...

You are right...they use top notch materials and are well made. My whole point is that you can get Armani quality for less than Armani price; not with everything, but with some things
