Koni yellow question.

Ok, first things first, Before you guys bash me. I tried searching and read for an hour and came up with nothing.

My suspension set up is H&R race springs and Koni yellow shocks.

Today, I raised my car up from the last perch to 1 perch up. Since the shocks were already off I turned the dampening thing all the way left. (lefty loosy). Drove the car for 30min and found out that it seems bouncyer (<< haha).

Well my question is....WHY!?!?! isnt it the softest setting?. Or did I go the wrong way and make it all the way stiff? I also read that 1 full turn front and back is the best. (for lux/sporty feeling) Is that correct?

It's bouncier because you backed off the shocks so much that they can no longer damp the springs well enough. Stiffer springs require stiffer shocks to keep movements under control. In your case, softer shocks can actually make the car not only perform worse but also kill the ride quality.

I'm sure the shocks are ok. If not, they have a lifetime warranty.

Turn them to the minimum to get rid of the bounciness for best ride quality. A little more *could* improve handling.

Another thing to think about is since you're lowered a lot, you could be hitting the bumpstops over bumps without realizing. it. Try going 3/4 to full firm and see if the ride quality gets better or worse. If it gets better, you've been hitting the bumpstops.

wait, are you 100% sure? I got one of those plastic peices (used to adjust the damper) and on it, it say's left (with and arrow) firm.? I also have only 2 perches on the front and 3 perches on the rear. I think we may have differnt models or something. idk
