Koni shocks with OEM springs

I'm wondering if any owners here would have this combo?

Can you offer a review?

Do you think it would be a waste of money, considering there are "cheaper" shocks available?

More specific, I understand Koni shocks can adjust the spring perch. So please offer your take with the setting at the lowest (with OEM springs)?

* No, I don't want to lower it with aftermarket springs.

Much thanks.

From my understanding the lowest perch drops it about 20mm.
I hate cars can tell you a lot more, as he has the koni yellows with I think the aspec springs, which gave him a modest 1 inch drop or something similar.

Are you going to be tracking your car? or just taking curves for pure enjoyment?
the dampening will greatly help you out

I think OEM springs handle just fine for my needs and road condtions.

I actually want to reduce just a bit of wheel gap. Many have said springs, but I'm not looking for increase rate to tackle a corner. And there is a dip in my driveway, so 1" drop is "too much."

if the lowest perch drops it 20mm, that will be under an inch drop.
that will reduce the the wheel gap from 4 fingers to about 3 and a half fingers.

Im planning to get the konis for the dampening.
I love taking corners.

I just looked him up. His mailbox is full so I can't send him a PM.

Sorry I'm behind on my PMs. Konis with stock springs work great, I ran that combo for a year or more. Putting them in the lower setting gives a very nice drop. I liked it because it made the car look so much better but unless you're familiar with TLs or have them side by side it doesn't look lowered. You'll want to keep them near full soft on stock springs.

Hey IHC, I'm going to be running Aspec springs with Koni's. Reason for this is that I want the lowering that these shocks offer. How should I set the Koni's so that they handle and "feel" like the Aspec shocks. Thanks bro.

So there are only two settings, right? The lower one, and the "normal" one.

Does the handling characteristic and ride changes between the two setting for the perch?
