Just quoted on Type S Rims

I called my acura dealer to see how much Type S rims will set me back. W/o a tire, they want 385 cdn/each. Are they insane?

The guy mentioned to me that Enkei is the manufacturer, so I got an idea. Do you guys know what the name of the Type S rim is? If I could find that rim at an aftermarket shop, I would be willing to forfeit the Acura logo in the middle to save myself several hundreds of dollars.

thanks in advance.

Acura may have a contract with the manufacturer to only make that wheel for Acura.

There was a company I've seen here somewhere in someone's post that will chrome your factory wheels. Maybe they will just sell you a mint set.

Also, take a look in the back of some of the more popular car magazines (C&D, R&T etc.). Usually there are companies that sell factory wheels (I don't know where they get them). I know they people liek that have tons of rims for GM (figures).
