Just Placed My Order for Tein S. Techs!
i can't wait....ive been drooling over these springs because they are such a good deal for suspension, and ive heard nothing but good things about them, bought them off ebay for 145.80 shipped...i can't wait! i know a lot of you on the forums have the S. Techs....soon im gonna join you the one thing ive heard some mixed reviews about is the camber wear....some people have said they don't experience camber wear...others say that they get a little wear on the tires after awhile. is it neccessary to get a camber kit?

Congrats. I just ordered eibach pros. I was goign back and forth between the two and chose practicality - less chance of rubbing, curbing the front lip, and maybe less shock bounce. They say you should get new shocks if you get new springs, but I'm gonna chance it.

Yeah. It's not liek you can't add shocks later, but it's a lot more labor to do them seperately. If you are doing one it's easy to do the other at the same time. Which translates into cost if you are like me and puke at the thought of a 5 hour DIY

That is not true. I have spoke on this many of times. They are slightly out of spec on camber but not too far out where it will wear the tires prematurely. Also, as long as you get the toe set correctly you have nothing to worry about. Ask anyone who tracks their cars or any custom alignment shop and they will tell you the exact same thing. Incorrect Toe will wear you tires out faster than incorrect camber.

Consider that if the toe setting is just 1/16-inch off of its appropriate setting, each tire on that axle will scrub almost seven feet sideways every mile! Extend it out and you'll discover that rather than running parallel to each other, the front tires will scrub over 1/4-mile sideways during every 100 miles of driving! Incorrect toe will rob you of tire life.

JDM is right don't argue against him! after i set my toe the ride got much more smooth and i gained an avg. 2-3 mpg! With the s-techs the rear needs much more adjustment than the fronts.

JDM is sort of right and so is Velfarre but keep in mind that when I bought my car it came with free tires for the life of the car. So when inquired about lowering it with Acura they said that the only way they would still honar the tires is if I was to purchase a camber kit and have the alignment redone due to the camber and toe. I dont like doing anything half ass so i got the camber kit just in case. plus it doenst make your tires look like ths / \ .
