Just how rough do 19's ride?
Can the folks rollin on 19's let me know just how rough is the ride. I have an accord with 18's on it with no drop. Ride is pretty decent. I had it lowered back in the day with 18's, rode like crap.
Now that I have added my TLs in the garage, I want rims:
Option 1 - chrome my stockies
Option 2 - get some 18" chrome with 225 or 235/40/18
Option 3 - get some 19" chrome with 235/35/19
The 19's look so damn tight, but I am scared that my ride quality will go to crap. I am not dropping my TLs, so I wanted to get some ideas from you all as to what you think of your 19's. I'm no dummy, I know they will be more stiff, but just how stiff? Knaw mean?
This car is strictly weekends, road trips and steppin out with my lady on the town. Basically, the car is not my daily driver.

ok i have chrome 19's w/ 235/35 toyo's lowered on comptech springs on my 03 cl-s, and to be completely honest the ride is nowhere as roughas I thought it would be. On smooth surfaces imo the ride is better, but can be a little rough on uneven roads. Trust me it won't look good if u don't lower the car. I think u should go for the 19's chrome on comptech it is not that bad, and the look and attention u will get is carzy. Good Luck

If... IF you can find 19's that will fit a 235 tire that is the right offset (close to 50, or more, if you can), the ride won't be too bad for you if it's not your daily driver. 19's seem like they are what you want, so get them, or you will be dissapointed.
Do the math, and see what the sidewall difference will be between stock, 18's, and 19's. If the tire is the same overall height as stock, going from 17's to 18's, you will love half an inch in sidewall going to 18's, and an inch going to 19's. Now, if you go to a wider rim (8"?), and can find a rim with enough offfset for it to tuck (see above), with a 19 you won't lose a full inch in sidewall. Just a thought...
Oh, and at least get H&R OE springs. Having a huge wheel gap and low, low profile tires will look funny. The low profile tire will actually MAKE the wheel gap look bigger. Do you want that?

i have 19*8.5 with 235/35/19 tires, the ride is actually not that bad if your car isn't dropped, just expect louder reflector bumps and the driving wheel will try to take a mind of its own when the roads are uneven...

I'm riding on 19's with a comptech drop. Its rough as hell. Every time I hit a bad bump I think, these f-in rims gotta go. But the looks the car gets on 19's is enough to make me change my mind every time.

This is not the best picture. The car sits much lower now. That picture was taken the day after the rims and springs were put on. I'll try to get some fresh pics up soon. I've made some changes since this pic and haven't had time to post.

I am ridin' on 19x7.5 RH evo C-2 with 225/35/19 and the ride is not that violent but I sure can feel every bump on the road. Even my roommate who dosen't know shizz about cars said that he can feel the bumps on the road. I didn't drop my car yet, but when I do, it will be the H&R .75" drop. Either way, lookin' at my ride with 19'' makes me forget all about the bumps, cuase it looks sweet.
