Just did brake install
I am brand new to this forum and wanted to thank everyone for their excellent posts. I have a 2000 Silver TL, and have always complained that the brakes were terrible. Took it back the first week I had it and the dealer told me they were all that way. Well after having the brakes replaced via the recall things didn't improve. Took about another 6-8 months before I was totally fed up and decided to trade the car in. I actually took a G35 for a 24hr test drive and liked it alot. Very fast, handles great and the rear wheel drive is awesome... but not as smooth as my TL. After finding this forum and deciding to get the AEM metal masters that everyone seems to like I figured I would see if they helped at all. I picked up some front pads from my NOPI dealer (should have ordered them here because what a pain to grind them down). After much labor by my roommate and myself... a couple trips to home depot (C-clamp, 6" grinder) we finally got the suckers on. Man o' Man what a difference. I swear I must be stopping 10ft sooner than I was before. I used to always over shoot the white line at stop lights and now I am coming well short of them. Everyone always compained about my braking, and I was people its not me its this car.. its a freaking boat! 60-0 in 137ft... common acura get real! BTW the G35 60-0 111ft.... Honda s2000 60-0 113ft... corvette Z06 60-0 108ft... give it up for the G35 people. Anyways I was thinking about posting an in depth review for people. I had only changed pads on my 89 probe years and years ago. So this was a learning experience for me. Let me know if you guys want a step by step cause I went through a ton to get these suckers on... but the 2nd tire only took 15mins... it was fun though.. and now my car is AWESOME! Thnx for the great forums.. keep up the great work... BTW I live in Lawrenceville GA if anyone is local and has questions...
