$400 is way too much for coilover installs.. At most, you should be paying around the $200'ish area.. and possibly a little extra to install the EDFC + running the wires into your interior somewhere.

Honestly, installing the coilovers yourself is pretty straight forward. If you aren't mechanically inclined, I would install them myself using the .pdf instructions available on the TEIN website.

Ask fellow Azine members in your area for help / space to work. This is definitely a DIY. You'll probably spend the bulk of your time setting up the EDFC. If you really can't fit it in your schedule.. I think $200 - 300 is a fair price.

I was quoted $350 to install just TEIN SS coilovers. I will do it myself when the weather is above FREEZING.

Not terrible but not great either. I think waiting is the best thing to do.

Edit: Getting WhiteDragons post confused with yours JD.. WD - post up for MN members help. I'd put a new thread post up until you get a bite, just bump it every other week.

If you live close to an AZ member a lot of them are willing to help you out that or they can do it cheaper.

Depends on what that 400 includes. Seems right on to me if it includes the whole install/alignment/road test/ect. Also if that's at a reputable higher end shop that guarantee's high quality work.

There is a difference between some random average corner shop vs a high end shop, where the only person touching your car is a highly skilled tech.

I paid 250 front and 250 rear but that was with springs and shocks and aliment, had it done at a shop that only specailizes in Acura/Honda, it was worth the money for piece of mind....

Weather out in TX is up and down.. last thursday it was 96.. on sunday it dropped to 29.. Everyone I know who has a garage has too much crap in it to work on a car, so most jobs are done in the driveway.. (redneck.. i know). Fifa09.. now you're talking.

Being a fellow Minnesotan you should try and hit up http://www.mnsportcompacts.net/forum/ they can probably recommend you a good shop. If you can't find anywhere to install them, i'll buy them from you . Goodluck.

- good going Spiritman!

btw.. calm down.. I'm sure Rayan / Ryan didn't say $200 + sex.. Ask Rayan if you could do a picture tutorial for a DIY EDFC. That would be great! Glad to hear things worked out.. AZ Member help FTW!
