Alignment settings for the track??

Anyone use other than factory alignment settings for track use? I'm not looking for something that will wear the tires out in 100 miles but is there a slight improvement to be made by "adjusting" the alignment a little?

I'm pretty sure the answer is to use factory alignment settings since Michael Benz took first place with factory settings.

FWIW, the car is lowered 3/4" in the front and 1/2" in the rear. Not going any lower. I'm taking it in for an alignment regardless so money is not an issue.

Its your first track day so keeping the car driving the way it normally does will speed the learning curve and make it more fun.
Most of the speeds will be in 2nd 3rd gear 40-80mph, with some bits over 100mph
but you have to brake for the turns at the end of the straight,,,

The best thing to do is set it a little neg camber, which it is naturally with a slight drop, and set the toe centered so it wants to drive straight at normal speeds under 100

after you are moved to the med or advanced group- in 5+ track days from now,,then play with things more.

Flush the brake fluid before track day, and again when you get home
We dont use synthetic in the race cars anymore- has its own probs when too hot
Others will say use motul..I say as long as its fresh you can do a quick bleed at the track if needed
If you need to scrub speed on entry turn the wheel more!
