If a tire is not balanced properly

does it vibrate all the time? or does it vibrate on and off?

You normally feel it more as speed increases. In some cases you may only notice it at highway speeds (60+ mph).

yeah what bearcat94 said as speed increases so will the vibrations. if it vibrates above 60+ meaning ur steering wheel shakes ur tires are not balanced right.

You may feel vibrations on and off, as the vehicle's speed changes, if the wheel balance is off by a small amount. I've had wheel imbalances which resulted in vibrations only between 65 mph and 80 mph.
