Ice inside wheel

Hi guys,

Have a quick question. It snowed like crazy in Michigan this weekend and I didnt really drive my car. Today I drove it around, and at high speeds the steering wheel is vibrating. The last time I drove the car which was Friday, it was smooth as butter. I do see some ice on the inside of the wheels, buts its not a whole bunch, could that little amount of ice really throw off the balance? If so what is the best way to remove/ prevent the ice from collecting there in the future?

Thanks

It will throw the balance off, need warm air to melt the snow/ice. Not much you can do about accumulation in the future. Snow will accumulate on the inner part of the wheel and with the wheel heat it may melt somewhat then freeze when sitting.

Ice is more than enough to throw the wheels out of balance. Think about how small the little metal weights are and then think about how much the ice can weigh.
