im going with 19x9 wheels in the spring, im wondering if 225 tire is good for a decent stretch, i dont wanna get too crazy.

225 seems like itll only give u a lil stretch... 215 would be more of a stretch if thatscwhat ur looking for

i have 18" 9" wide rims running on 225's and I didn't want much stretch at all. turns out i got a little bit but it's not enough for me to dislike it.
if you want a little, 225 on 9"s should be good. if you want noticable -- 220/215 might be better for you

I hate cars

I hate the look. But besides looks, why would you go with a tire 3 sizes narrower than what came on the car? You sacrifice performance and safety for something that looks better (in your opinion).

Im not a fan of the stretch either. I could live with it only if I wanted some extra wide wheels, was lowered and was stretching so I wouldnt rub.

I like my 245/40 on 18" wheels. I need all the grip I can get anyway.

OP, if you want stretch, go with something a bit smaller! Go with 195 and you'll def. have stretch!

thanks for all the feedback guys. i am currently running 18x8 wheels with properly fitted tires and performance is great. im planning on keeping these wheels and tires so that when i take the car to the track i have the performance i need. On that note i want to go with a lil bit of stretch on my 19x9 wheels more for cosmetic reasons and im willing to sacrifice performance on them, besides i dont race on the street and if i have the need for speed i go for a lapping event. that being said im one of the guys that likes the stretched look but not too drastic, i want a lil bit cuz i think it gives the tire/wheel a nice lil contour when tucked up a lil under the well, but again thats just my personal taste.

215-225 sounds about right for me.
