I hate ABS! And a swaybar rant too.
This computer aided stuff really gets in the way of driving, at least I can turn traction and stability control off but not ABS.
Today I'm running errands, I have to drop a prescription off then I was going to stop by work for a few minutes while the prescription was being filled. Due to road construction I ended up driving past work on the way. At the last second I decided to turn into work before going to the pharmacy. With no other cars on the road I made a quick right into work which involves the initial right turn off the main road and another sharp right into the lot, a little faster than normal but not that fast. I eased into the brakes just a little and of course the inside front tire was a little light and triggered the ABS. Now normally this is not an issue in a car without ABS. I've made the same type of corner in the GN 100s of times with the inside front tire on the verge of lockup or sometimes locked for a second. It really doesn't hurt anything since a lot of the weight is on the outside tire. Unfortunately, ABS kicks in and reduces pressure to all 4 brakes instead of just the one. I now have my foot in the pedal hard and it's as if the car has no brakes. I had to back completely out and reapply to slow down from hitting a gutter and bottoming out. This is a business complex with an armed guard at every entry and driving fast is frowned upon.
So in a nutshell the ABS made what would've been just a brief lock of one wheel into nearly hitting a curb experience. I hate how inconsistent it is. Sometimes it seems like it reduces brake pressure only to the offending wheel and sometimes it seems like it kills all 4 brakes. This is a corner I could've made in the girlfriend's Murano yet barely made in a TL with tons of suspension work on a near race tire.
The other thing, with the large front swaybar, the inside front wheel locks noticeably easier during cornering and braking at the same time. So for all you large swaybar lovers, there are downsides to them. I would almost trade some roll for better real life handling.

heh.... more stiffness does not = better handling. There's always a fine balance.
I know they're completely different cars but I'm planning on getting a 35mm hollow front sway in the future they even offer a 37mm front for my car.

damn matt, i kinda had the same experience during the last rainstorm we had.
took a turn i always take at around 20 mph (wet roads), and my front end slid. the VSA light flashed and i nailed the brakes and it felt like nothing was happening, so let off and braked again and it finally caught.
afterwards, i was like, was that supposed to happen

Won't it set a MIL? I've never seen an ABS fuse blow, so
