HT-Spec Wheel & Tire Package Revealed on our TSX (fits TL also)

Hey guys! We recently devised a pretty stellar street performance wheel/tire package for 04-08 TSX and TL cars. You can check it out in the following link. Read on for the lead-in!

What makes this package HT-Spec? Specifically, the sizing. When it comes to choosing wheels, there a lot of different camps on how to do it “right.” Some prefer wheels 50% wider than stock with tires that are 10% narrower than stock. Some prefer to run whatever used JDM wheel that fits “pretty good” without fender rolling. Some want to keep the original size. I am with the camp that feels the widest tire possible on a wheel that provides a square sidewall and perfect backspacing is best. An people that share this opinion have a hero. His name is Emilio, and he runs a wheel company called 949Racing.
Now, I know a TL can accept a wider wheel and tire than a TSX can, and has a greater ability to stagger fitments. We are sticking with this 255- section recommendation for the TL though, because the sizing allows for a great look and fitment (as seen on our HT-Spec TL) while retaining the ability to rotate tires like normal.

Besides...with 255s front and rear you'll have the same average tire width as an E92 M3. That's a lotta rubber for an Acura!

Nicely done! A savings in weight is always a good thing. I'm not sure how I feel about the design of the wheel though...

They have been mildly controversial. Thing is they have been designed for performance. The spokes are STRONG, the rim is roll formed making it STRONG, the spokes curve in a way to have MAX CLEARANCE for brake calipers, and the barrels are extra large to accommodate larger brake diameter. I am tossing around a 6-pot wilwood kit in 13" for the fronts...

I don't think people like me, who lean towards more aesthetic mods, will go after these wheels. For those who are about saving weight and clearing BBK, these are without a doubt a great choice!

I'm glad to see a full package has come out though

I would have liked to offer a more stylish wheel for vip types but it seems like when aesthetics are involved no one wheel is going to be a good one to endorse. I'll just let you guys pick the look you want in that case. Those looking for performance will value the specs of these wheels more, and the fitment is what makes them desirable.
