how low do i go?
what do you guys think will look good and what setup??
I was thinking like a 1.5" drop i dont want it slammed really just wondering what setups work best to achieve this...
i know you can get springs or just coilovers is it really better to spend more on coilovers or can i get away with just springs and the stock shocks??
also what do i do for the camber ive seen some people talk about some kind of camber bar to correct the toe in the back end?? is that for rear only or would i need one in front too>?>
Thanks!!

Well at least for the camber situation read the sticky post of "DO I NEED A CAMBER KIT"
What rims are you running on?? I'm running on 19 and I bought the Tein S springs and i'll let you know how is the ride. Just do some search their is plenty of threads about this.

Well im not running on spring right now, but I bought these one these yesterday, so they progably arrive next week. If you want to get near the tire get the TEIN H and if you want to lower and the tire will be right at the fender then buy the TEIN S or TEIN BASIC.
Just go through the threads and see what you like about everyone setups and start searching from there.
I didn't have the money to buy coilovers, so I just got some spring that close the gap with the tire and everyone says the ride is comfortable. I was between the TEIN H- TEIN S and H&R SPORT SPRINGS. THe information I researched the H&R go lower than the TEIN S and the TEIN H are higher, so i went with the middle one. Lets see how it turns out.
Good luck

Car looks good ![Thumbs Up](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
IMO, go coilovers. Or a nice spring/shock combo such as the Koni Neuspeed Cup kit. It's about $650 but worth the money and quite a bit cheaper than coilovers. In a matter of time, by putting lowering springs on your stock shocks, they will go out.. a lot faster than they normally would. Check out heeltoeauto.com for a good selection

thanks guys! i will put the money into a coilover... what is the difference between the koni super cup kit and say Tein SS?? I dont really want to get to the point where i have to roll fenders and what not just want something simple and looks good... is this something that i can do myself as far as install?? i am pretty mechanically inclined ive changed my own rotors and brakes amongst other things

Installing shocks/springs/coilovers is a bit tedious, if you will. It's time consuming. I say, if you can turn a wrench, you can do it. I changed my springs for the first time, by myself, not knowing what the hell I was doing lol Any coilover set you buy will come with top hats which therefore allows for a direct replace of your OE shocks/springs. If you buy a shock and spring combo new you will have to use your stock top hats, in which you will have to compress the springs to fit the top hat onto the shock etc. The Tein SS will have a lot more choices as far as how much of a drop, ride quality I dunno.. I'll let others chime in on the ride differences.
Edit: Some coilovers DO NOT come with top hats, such as the H&R's for example.

awesome thanks for the info... compressing springs does not sound too fun i might check around and see how much a shop would charge to do the labor if i get a complete coilover then i will do the labor myself
