the stock tires are 400. i went to a tire shop and the owner of the place was really surprised that i had 30K miles on my car and the tires were still alive. theyre about a 1mm or 2 from the wear bar. so, if a 400 rating gets 30K, would a 300 rating get about 22K?

is there a calculation to get an approximate mileage on them?

First off, the tread life rating varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. So you can't compare the tires among different manufacturers.

With that said, less number translates to less tire tread life. However, tread life is significantly dependant upon the way you use them. If you're an agressive dirver, your tires will wear out faster.

It really doesn't give you an idea of how long the tires should last. Basically, it's just an estimate of which tires lasts longer/shorter within the same manufacturer.
