How can this not rub?

I posted up earlier about 19x8.5 MRR HR2 with 35mm+ offset, 245/35/19 tires and Eiback lowering springs. I was told it won't rub but the rim sticks out past the fender. I'm not sure i like that look either. It seems like I would prefer a 45mm offset in the front. Why can't you run different offsets?

If I stick with these I'm a little concerned with the 245 sticking out even more. Can I put a 235 up front and a 245 in the rear?

I don't think it's going to rub. But if it does, you can always roll your fenders. Also, love the vette!

when the shock compresses (wheels go up into the fender well) the top of the wheel gets pulled in toward the car because of the way suspensions are setup. if you jack only that wheel up so all the weight of the car is on that wheel youll see it will tuck up inside of the fender as the wheel goes up.

245s are a bit wide for todays fad. just throw some 225 40s on
if you do a different size up front you might want to change the sidewall size but its up to you. say you do a 235 up front youll want a 235 40 19 and a 245 35 19 that way the sidewalls are closer to the same size and the tire on front isnt shorter looking than the back. look into it and make sure on the specific sizing though. not exactly sure those are the sidewall sizes you want.

What does rolling the fender mean? And Thanks.

Yes both wheels are resting on the 2x4's

This is what through me a loop. I did lots of research and found these exact rims and secs on other cars and the pictures don't look like the rims stick out that far at all. I'm confused for sure.
Here's few pics or other cars with the same rims. and offset in the front.

these are 20" and don't appear to stick out like mine.

the cars not on a jack in at all in the pictures. Are you thinking the suspension is still slightly out of whack from being jacked up?

Can I do a 235 in the front and a 245 in the back? I would like the slightly taller and wider 245 look but I don't want the front wheel to stick out and look stupid.

i really need to figure out this editing posts thing.

im saying when you hit bumps the wheel pushes up toward the fender when it does that the way the suspension is setup makes it camber as it travels up which means the top of the wheel dips in toward the car which would give you more clearance. to check and make sure you can jack it up so that wheel has all the weight on it so it pushes it up into the fender more and you can check for clearance. sorry i dont think im very good at explaining things.

Yeah that does not look like a 19x8.5 +35 but I don't think MRR makes any other offset for the HR2 model, which is why it's so confusing. Judging from the fitment, it looks like 19x8.5 +15 (approximately).

Are you sure you don't have a rear wheel on the front? Check behind the wheel where the wheel mounts on the hub, or behind the spokes. The specifications of that wheel should be imprinted. 19x8.5JJ ET35 is what it should look like.

I'm running the exact same specs, with the exact same tire size with the exact same lowering springs and there's no rubbing at all.

Does your front rim stick out beyond the fender like mine?

Yep thats what it says.

I set a straight edge on the back of the rim and measured the back spacing. Its 6.125".

Actual rim dimensions 20.625" x 9.5"

Does this seem correct?
