Hey y'all just got my first TL

Newbie here guys and gals so go easy. Loved the Acuras since I can remember! Just bought myself a 2007 Acura TL Type S. Here's the kicker. For some reason the fella took the friggin' spare tire out so I gotta find one. I looked on some sites and found that the spare I need is T145/ 70R17. Now the dealership quoted me a price of 395.00!!!! For a donut! I found one on craigslist that came from a Toyota. It is the same T145/ 70R17 with the same apparent lug pattern. Will this tire work for my TL-S? Thanks

Welcome to the forum! If it's the same lug pattern, I don't see it wouldn't fit.

Thanks for responses. You know it took me FOREVER to find but I waited and waited.....and waited to get the Pearl White with black interior. My second choice was the carbon bronze which is beautiful. Once I get the hang of this great forum I will post some pics. But I agree it seems silly but if the pattern is the same, it only makes sense that it should work right?? Thanks again for the help and the welcome. I look forward to spending ALOT of time here.

Congrats and welcome this site will empty ur pocket/wallet as soon as u get the mod bug! even if the bolt pattern is right, make sure the offest is too! Remember that you have the brembo caliper and while your spare may fit on the rear wheels, it may not fit over the front in an emergency.

It may be the same tire size designation, but that doesn't indicate the offset is the same, nor is the hub bore size the same, as most Toyota's have a 60.1 or 54.1 hub bore size vs. the Acura TL 64.1. As an example, the regular A/T equipped TL has the same bolt pattern and offset, but that spare won't fit over the Brembo calipers. If it's cheap and works on the rear, but doesn't on the front here's a solution. If a front tire needs replacement, put the spare on the rear and switch the rear tire to the front. A little extra work, but at least you know you're covered in an emergency.
