Help - tire question..

I have pretty new Turanza EL42 (less than 3K miles) on my front tires on my TL. I badly need to replace my rear ones. I am thinking about the Potenza RE960AS. Is it okay to have different type of tires on my rear wheels? I have no knowledge about tires. My selection was based on the reviews I have read on this site. Please help.

Thanks
Sundar

well it would be fine long as when u get your tires rotated, you dont do criss cross rotation b/c u do not want two different tires in front at same time...

I dont know. You would have two different types of tread, they will wear at different rates, they will tract at different rates. Just alot of unknowns out there then.

I would change all four out

Sundar, I'm with Fulani. The Turanzas, even though new, are really not such good tires for a TL. In fact, reading here you might see the word CRAP thrown about frequently....and it's pretty much true.

See if you can sell the two Turanzas (for any price), and buy four GOOD tires. Do your research on TireRack, it's a fantastic resource. You can buy anywhere. If you get some candidate tires, you can search here for additional opinions.

Good luck!
