Help! Lower control arm stuck on stud below hub
I'm trying mot remove my lower control arms I removed all the bolts and it it now stuck holding on by nothing I can feel and my trusty separator won't dislodge it. The bolt is one from the bottom that had a nut with a cotter pin through it. I need help ASAP I'm over my head...

#1. Your going to have to replace that lower ball joint. In order to remove it you will have to take out the knuckle
#2. It will be much easier separating the ball joint from the LCA if you take the entire knuckle and LCA out of the car.
#3. If you do not have a ball joint tool to remove it from the knuckle. Use a big ass hammer ( 3lb ) and bang it out. It's worked every single time for me when I replaced ball joints on my TL and friends.
#4.. You will need an alignment afterwards.
also, be careful when removing the ABS sensor out of the knuckle.

I'm sorry but this is BS...There is nothing to indicate here that the ball joint needs to be replaced. The OP just did things in the wrong order.
If I were the OP, I'd reinstall the two LCA bolts to the subframe and apply the techniques in the link provided. There seems to be no reason to remove the whole spindle assembly at this point at all.
When I do this, I just support the spindle/rotor with a jack, apply downward pressure to the LCA and hit the area surrounding the ball joint with a hammer. Works everytime.
