Unhappy Help! I can't take out the rear shocks

Hi everybody, this is my first thread and I must say this forum ROCKS! Anyway, I'm trying to install HT-Spec coilovers but I'm having trouble taking out the rear shocks. I took everything off as instructed but having trouble taking off the nut on the endlinks to slide out the shocks. Any advice is appreciated.

BTW, how can I insert pics? Sorry, I'm a newbie at this.

take off the lower end of the endlink. you'll need an allen wrench and I believe a 14mm wrench.

Yeah, you have to stick an allen key in the end-link stud to hold it steady as you remove the nut. Otherwise the stud will spin because it's attached to a ball-joint.

Hopefully your endlink isnt corroded, I tried putting an allen key in mine to tighten the bolt and now it is just a round hole, so when i have the chance I will have to cut mine off and replace them.

don't mess with the endlinks, they are a pain in the ass and will make this more of a hassle than it is.

The upper side of the endlink attaches to a bracket, and this bracket is held to the spindle/hub by a single 14mm bolt. Remove that bolt and you can make all the room you need to get it out.

I just couldnt make enough room to take em out last night. Maybe i just gotta mess with it some more...

I had trouble at first with the rears too.

Your best bet is to read this thread:
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-tires-wheels-suspension-97/diy-ht-spec-coilver-install-dummies-any-other-suspension-3g-garage-d-091-a-816065/

It's the same method that vill0169 suggested.
Remove the bracket.

Then put a jack under the arm and raise it to create a gap and just twist it out!

I didn't even BOTHER with the endlinks. I saw them with so much rust and stuff I said EFF it and just removed the bracket.

Then I did the second side in like an hour lol it was so easy once you learn the tricks.
