HeelToe coilover HELP

I'm in the process of installing my HT type2 ver.2 coilovers and they were shipped out with a preload of 8" and I know from talking to Marcus and other threads that it needs to be set at 7.5".I can't get it to compress the spring to get my 1/2 inch.Do I need to use a spring compressor then move the collar or mount it then spin it up?I'm starting on the rear first now. Please respond asap if you can help so I can get these done by Monday.
Thanks

If you want to compress the springs further, I'm pretty sure you need to use spring compressor.

I'm not really familiar with coil-overs, so .... :notsure:

Try adjusting them after installed on the car so it's stable and it doesn't move on you......those wrenches it brings don't help either but put some muscle into it

We have found it easier to make this adjustment out of the car. It should be noted that all newer kits sold in the last few months all come preset to 7.5" preload in the front.
