have a question about the a-spec 18's

So i got my quote today from my dealer... 2549.00 +196mnt,balance, install.

2745 out the door for the a-specs from the dealer...

Is this TOO much.. I LOVE these wheels and regret not getting them With the car... but the plus side is i can sell my stock type-s wheels...

I guess i have two questions is there a market for stock type-s wheels (2007) 200 miles on em

and

there are only two models of aspecs for the tl type s correct ??

1 that is like black/chrome looking and one that is painted silver ?

Thats all..

Well the answer to your first question, is if there is a market for stock type s wheels, some people dont like the wheels and some do, someone might want to buy them for their regular tl, ive also seen people with accords buying the wheels also, you shouldnt have a hard time selling them. The answer to your second question is that there are three colors of aspec wheels which are silver, black chrome, and chrome. I purchased the black chrome and i paid $2,200 w/ the recommended yokohama tires, i also got an employee discount and mounted and balanced them myself. Not really sure what the actual going rate is on the wheels.

thanks that puts it into perspective... I think i am going to get them and just throw the spares in the garage... I hope to post pics when i finally get them on... i am going with those black chrome they look sweet!!!

2750 is a lot, but that is the look i want.. last would be to decide if i should order the bodykit as well... i thought about it last week when purchasing, but honestly the look was sooo subtle that I couldnt tell... but i guess i need to keep looking at it and make a choice.. gotta get the wheels and tint..

What's up? You're looking at almost the exact scenario I was in a few weeks ago. I went with the sparkle silver a-specs for $1310 from the dealer when I bought the car. I bought my own tires from Tirerack since I didn't want summer tires on my car. Then I sold my standard TL-S rims & tires for $2k. So the bottom line is that I got the A-specs w/18" tires for a couple hundred bucks.

Hope this helps and good luck with your decision.

Sometimes I wonder where I get some of these thoughts from . I need to correct the amount that I sold the original rims for. I sold them for $1k, not $2k . Heck, I was only of by 100% . Maybe I should change careers and be a weatherman.

sounds like a fair price. Dealer in SA wants $435 a wheel (18" sparkle silver) + $162 for the Y-ES100 plus tax plus mount, bal & intsall...Anansi found a good price...we are a "one dealer town".....parts dept should have a book on the wheels you can look at...

Anansi: what tire did you mount? and has anyone considered a 245/45 to help with the ride issue of the 18s compared to 17s?

Go to discount tire, they can order you the exact same wheels for about half the price from the same company Honda/Acura buy the wheels from. They should be able to get you a better deal on tires too so my recommendation is to not go to the dealer and get them somewhere else.
