H&R vs Comptech vs Eibach

Since nobody seems to have successfully put 20s on the 04 TL, ive decided to join the club and get 19s. I thinking 19x8 +45-50mm with 245/35/19.

Besides the obvious differences bwtn the 3 springs (amount each will lower the car), which springs offer best handling and which, in your opinions, will lower car without causing rubbing with the above wheel specs.

From what ive seen, H&R will lower the car by 1.4/1.3 or 2.0/1.75, Comptech lowers it 1-1.5" both front and back, and Eibach lowers it 1" both front and rear.

Any additional info on wheel specs or springs would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks!

I would suggest going with the Comptechs or Eibachs. I have the Comptechs with 19x8 +42mm wheels and 245/35/19 tires and have no rubbing issues. A 1" drop is perfect for this car IMO. Anything more might be too much. Here's a pic.

As far as handling differences between the three springs, I can't really help you there. Any of the aftermarket springs will be an improvement over the stock springs.

Another option would be to wait for the Tein coilovers. I'm sure the handling would be better with those vs. aftermarket srpings and stock shocks.

Also, check out the gallery. There is old post of a TL on 20's you might want to check out.

Wish I could see a picture of your car on flat ground. I am hoping Eibach or Comptech releases a spring made solely for the 04 TL. Both manufactures use accord springs. Say what you want but the stock Accord and the stock TL have different wheel well clearances.
