it will not rub with a 1 inch drop, as the final size of the wheel+tires matches OEM very close.
no rubbing or touching anywhere... feels great to have new tires too!

I got many complements on my trip this weekend, even from beemers.

it will also with the rotora brakes, I assume they are comparable to the Brembos (4 pistons) right ?

Update:

I got some minor vibration with these wheels on my 6MT,
and Discount Tires installed some adapters (or hubs) for free and
the vibration went away. It's 100% smooth now, even at 130 MPH!

The plastic hubs will get brittle with the heat and break, get the metal ones.
they are small flat rings that go between the Koblenz and the brake disks (center).

Great tires.
very good grip even on wet roads. Reduced 90% of the noise with OEM tires

Hey nice rims. They do look awfully small right now. Probably just need a drop though.

Good luck

All the info about the wheels and tires is on the top... the total cost including road hazard protection and installation kit was $1600, 3 months 0%

When they are clean, everybody looks at my TL, it's awsome.

I even got thumbs up from guy in a 911 turbo!
he followed me for 5 blocks to check them out...

they are worth every penny... they also come in 19"
and clear the Brembos or any big brake system nice.

you can play a little with the offset to get a deeper lip,
especially if you have a 5AT.

Question Nice Rims...

Why did you choose the Falken ST-115's over the FK-451's Eurosports? Is the ST-115 an all season or summer tire? I believe the FK-451 is a summer tire. Thanks.

The ST-115's have a better thread wear (so it will be cheaper for me), and they produce less noise which is what I was looking for...

And I believe because of the deeper channels they handle watter better to avoid hydroplaning.

the 451's have better grip, but I'm not too concerned about that, since the 115 hold the road much, much better than the EL-42

I'm going to keep the stock wheels so I can put them back on
when I trade my 04 TL for a new TL (waiting for AWD)

By the way I check the invoices and
the total cost of wheels with tires was $1260 not $1600, which makes it a better deal. The tires can be bought cheaper online (around $90 each) but I wanted the Discount Direct warranty.

Question

So after a few days, how do you like the Falken ST-115's?

great tires, super nice grip.
There is a curve near my house I couldn't take faster than 40 mph on the stock EL-42 because the tires would start to squeak and slide...
Now with the Falken ST-115 I have taken the same curve over and over at 65-75 mph without sliding an inch, and totally no noise, what a grip!

What I like the best is that they last a lot longer than the OEM tires, so it will save me $$$... I drive 100 miles/day (work and back) so duration is a must for me. Houston is a big city.

Well, of course Ronjon Inspyres are my favorite, but DAMN, these wheels are nice too. If Ronjon wasn't around I wouldn't hesitate to buy these. NICE CHOICE.

The Wheels are shown on stock suspension ( no drop)
My next investment will be a 1 - 1.5" drop, which will enhance the look and improve handling, ...

I'm undecided between Comptech, Adjustable Tein, or what.

Brembo 4 piston big brakes come "standard" if you buy a "standard" shift model,
aka 6MT, otherwise not.
Only the front are this type, rear brakes are regular silver caliper disk brakes, which are good too.

After 7000 miles with this ST-115 tires, they got rotated, and still look brand new.
they are directional tires, so they go front-back.

Wow! Those are definitely hot rims. I'm not too sure how offsets work entirely and how they affect the drive and performance but OEM offset is 45mm. I notice those are 35mm. Will there be any problems with such a big difference?

The offset and tire size was decided directly by FALKEN for this car, the manager at Discount Tire called FALKEN many times, until he was sure he got the perfect fit.

No problems at all with these rims / tires. I can take curves faster than my friend with his 03 BMW 330ci convertible (sports package) - although he's a little afraid of speed sometimes...

For those of you interested in the Koblenz - a black on chrome is also available. There is a picture of it in the May issue of EuroTuner.

Check this thread: Koblenz on Brembos and it looks like it clears the Brembos with room to spare.

PRacing just got a set of these in gunmetal/machine for an 05 Black TL.

19" Koblenz with a 35 offset, not a perfect fit, but we're making it work. Local customer.

We sold them for only $1900 SHIPPED. www.1010tires.com check em out, we put the 19x8.5 with 35 offset, and falken 451 tires on them. 1010 Tires sells for $2500+ shipped.

If you guys are interested, please let us know.

We should get pics soon. PRacing works with Falken, NS Racing, Speedy Wheels, and RPM Wheels, as well as performance wheels like 5Zigen, lowenhart, racinghart, etc.

We offer the lowest prices guaranteed on Falken wheels.

If interested, contact us, We'll beat any other price out there, like 1010tires, rimstop, and 99% of others.

Thanks,
