Got my air ride finally, air suspension guys--help wanted
well I finally gave up and gave in to my number one thing I wanted for my TL. I ended up getting the airrex full bolt on setup and I went with the airlift autopilot v2 for my management with a single 400c viair compressor and a 4 gallon polished tank 1/4" lines. single water trap kit and smc check valve. I guess im just wondering if any of you 3G guys could help me out with any advice or tips from doing your own? I know this is a pretty straight forward install but im worried about where to run the lines and all that. Any help would be appreciated.

Who did you buy your kit through? I was advised by the guys at Bag Riders to avoid the Autopilot V2 kit because of some front-end lift issues it has with Honda/Acuras. Even with Accuair management, you have to run AT LEAST 175psi (preferably 200psi) in the tank at all times, otherwise the front bags have a hell of a time raising the car. Unfortunately, the 400c compressor you bought is only rated at 150psi max @ 33% duty cycle. I highly recommend the Air Zenith OB2 compressors. They run at 100% duty cycle at 200psi. It's an amazing compressor that's worth the extra money. I'm also curious why you bought an SMC check valve...the 400c comes with one already.
Anyway, I ran my front lines behind my side skirts, but you can also run them through the interior of the car. Running them behind the skirts was a lot easier and even though it's been damn cold in NY all winter, and I haven't had any weather related issues.

I havent ran air (yet) on my TL but ran air on my M45. I would have said to go with a different management system as the V2 autopilot doesn't accept certain accessories unlike the VU4 or even analog brass fitting setup. Honestly, I learned through trial and error, but it took purchasing a system first before I really started learning.
For my M45 I ran the air line under the car far away from the exhaust as possible. I doubled up plastic wiring loom and wrapped it with electrical tape in areas where my air lines were closer to the exhaust. Also, I would wrap the air line in electrical tape at each mounting point so as not to wear through the plastic hose. Also, purchase some liquid thread sealer for all your fittings. I believe bagriders sells it. Other than that, take your time with install and get a bottle with some soapy solution to spray on all the fittings after everything is connected to see if you have any leaks.

Regardless, the max tank pressure you can safely run is 150 psi with the 400c. I've heard of people pushing Viair compressors to 175 psi, but I would imagine this would cause premature wear and kill it eventually. FWIW, I can tell you that the front of my TL will absolutely not rise unless there's at least 175-200 psi in the tank.

That's cool, glad they could help you. You probably saved some cash going with the Switchspeed management. It's a good kit too.

As long as you're using DOT-spec lines, they'll be fine on the outside of the car. The side skirts actually protect them from rocks/dirt, so the only thing you have to worry about is frozen lines, but like I said...it's dropped to double-digit negative temperatures this winter and I haven't had any issues. You can add air line antifreeze to your tank to counteract this also. Remember, DOT air lines are primarily used on the exterior of tractor trailers, so you know they're made to withstand a lot of punishment.

I was waiting for the digi gauge when I purchased my touchbox module. Very interested to see how this comes out. I know with the touchbox module you are suppose to be able to view each bags psi wireless. If you have an iphone/itouch you should look into the touchbox module also. I had mine FS in the BM.

The wireless features are neat, but I rarely use my iLevel app unless I'm showing it to someone. Using the e-level touchpad is a lot faster.
While you're driving, it'd a lot faster to just look at the DigiGauge itself....instead of unlocking your phone, put in your passcode, find the app, start the app, wait for the app to connect to the Touchbox's wifi signal, then wait for the info to load...

Accuair E-Level with Air Force struts.
I don't like the Viair compressors. The Air Zenith OB2's blow them out of the water. I run a single OB2 and it's plenty to lift the car.

I hear that alot about the AZ's. But my final question is if I was running 2, which still cost less than 1 AZ, would it be able to handle the lifting. Im just unfamiliar with air suspension and if running two at the same time was possible in order to avoid that issue against running 1 weak Viair.

im running accuair e-level with dual viair compressors. I can confirm that john is right when he says that you must run more than 150 psi to raise the car efficiently and to make sure your car doesnt feel like a fucking boat when you are driving on a high preset. i havnt had any problems with either my compressors or my management. im still curious as to why people dont run accuair more often. i understand that its more expensive but i really do think its all worth the money. I had all the lines run through the interior and through the wheel well into the bags themselves. although im thinking of going hardlines in the trunk for a cleaner look.

im looking into the air zenith OB2's, and i might order two of them and sell my viairs. they look better and flow twice as much as the viair480c's. and ill get two just to make my own brackets so that i can keep my exo mounts . thanks for the heads up john.

Damn this threads been busy. So I am going with dual viair 444c they're sending them out tomorrow hopefully. The AZ is on back order everywhere. Messages 10 sellers that have one posted on eBay and they don't have them either. (Why are they posted then right ?) so I'm going to try them out and worst case sell them and get a AZ in March. Hopefully gonna start the install in the next week.

Sorry to post on ur thread RU_JELLY, but im also about to pull the trigger on air ride and it seems that all the air pros are on here. Im about to order the accuair management with elevel and dual 440 viair compressors with 3/8 lines and airrex suspension.
I was originally thinking ksport but the vender told me that the airrex suspension from experience is better and last longer than the ksport. Does anyone have inputs on this?
Also can u guys check these prices? maybe I can get a better deal else where? They seem the lowest I could find. Thanks.

Does anybody know if you can use I level on switchspeed management without running e level ? Having trouble getting a clear yes or no

The sensors attach to the fender wells, and then the sensor arms attach to the swaybar endlinks.
I asked Accuair about using the iLevel unit with the Switchspeed management. Some of the functions of the iLevel app will work, but you can't use any of the height preset buttons without having the e-Level height sensors. The iLevel unit is designed to be used with e-Level management, not Switchspeed.
