My dad has the Goodyear F1's on his 06 TL. I would never recommend that tire to anyone.

The F1's are loud as hell. There is also some sort of recall or something, see below.

I think I'm going with the 960's when I get new tires soon.

We had a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 A/S tires installed on my "other" TL, an '05 automatic (the wife's car), in the fall of '07. We had them replaced just this past April due to two major problems with the tire.

Noise. These tires were noisy as hell and I don't mean at speed. Even at in-town speeds of 35 to 40 MPH, they were really bad. And yes, the alignment was done on that car at the time of the installation. The noise was so bad that my wife had to speak rather loud in the car when talking to me over the phone and had to turn her sound system up when it was on. It was bad.

Wear. We noted uneven and what I would call unnatural wear patterns on these tires. I watched pressure (32 psi all around) and would quiz her about her driving (she is a little more aggressive on the throttle and in the turns than I am as a rule).

We were getting ready for an 1100 mile trip in late April this year and there is no way either one of us wanted those tires on that car for the trip. It would have made us nuts.

Michellin Pilot Sport A/S Plus FTMFW.

I got these babies for $661 + tax and labor. I ended up $797 out the door which is a killer deal for these tires.

How?

Get Discount Tire Company to pricematch and work them for your business. Worked for me and I made out like a bandit on one of the markets best series of All-Season Tires. Every tech I spoke with recommended these over the Goodyears hands down. Also many reviews speak negatively about the amount of road noise the F1's give. To each its own though. Hope this helps.
