Function and Forum Type 1 Help

I have found a set of the function and forum type 1 coil overs for sale and I'm considering picking them up but I can't seem to find the lowering statistics. Whats the lowest I can go? Whats the minimum drop? I've done a bit of research and can't seem to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

If they are used I would think twice about buying them. A quick search on acurazine you'll come across a lot of posts about people complaining about the coilovers going bad within the first year. I guess they are the cheapest coilovers you can get for the TL for a reason.

However I've had mines installed since 6-17-2011 and have not had any big problems with them yet. I drive real cautiously and slow over the smallest things. Recently I've been hearing a odd clunking noise sometimes when I come to a complete stop or take off from a dead stop and it's coming from the front passenger side. I'm going to take a look at it when I get time. I hope it isn't the coilover. I've put about 40-45k miles on them over 2 1/2 years.

Yeah, I wouldn't get used type 1s, if that is in fact the case. I wouldn't buy used suspension parts period. but that's just me.

You can always have them rebuilt. But I would probably find a more legit company, i.e. Tein's, KW, Tanabe then have them rebuilt.

I've had em on both my tl's. Ride quality is decent but there a bit soft. defiantly crank the spring rates up before install. There known for there function &form clunk noise. The ones I have on my TL now are clunking and there only 4 months old. They'll go pretty low too

Type ones put you on the ground, that's what i'm on right now and i'm not even maxed out yet. I installed mine last year around spring and i haven't had any issues with them. I daily my car and i drive a lot. I haven't had any complains on them. No clunking noise at all. As far as being stiff, they're somewhat stiff but that's a good thing the TL is not a race car so you dont want something so stiff it makes the car horrible to drive. Its your money so do what you want but in my opinion i would rather save up and buy new.
