front bumper air deflector
Wondering how many of you remove the front bumper air deflector... especially for lowered car...
I'm dropped on tein ss about 1.5... with no body kit, i scrap once in a while.. I just ordered RJ kit, and will have it installed. Since RJ kit will be lower than regular, i'm wondering if I should:
-take off the air deflector (gives another 1-2")
-raise my car about .5" more to compensate the RJ kit height
any advise

^^ Yup. Don't take it off. What you could do, depending on how lowered you are is drive your car onto some 2x10s or if your still too low, raise one side of the car with a jack, then you should have enough room to slide it under the car without hitting the air dam.

You can't remove your air deflector. It directs air into the radiator and creates low pressure under the car to add downforce, though the latter wouldn't be a big issue on a lowered car.

iScrape going into
Yeah I wouldn't remove it, I thought about removing mine for awhile but found out how important it is. I am pretty much slammed and dumped, and I scrape that thing all the time. But the good part is that plastic piece is like 8 bucks from acura.

so the important front bumper air deflector that we talked about is the #29 from above link.
After reading your guys reply... knowing how important it is, I told my shop to leave that on. That's no problem. But another question would be:
-what is #4 and #7? do they also serve important purposes? what are they for? Are #4,7 just an attachment for #29?
I hope it's ok to left it off.. 'cause my body shop told me that there is no place to snap that in on the RJ kit

hmm... for some reason, like i said, my shop told me that there is no place to bolt the outside piece #4, 7. I don't know why. Worst case scenario, if we leave that 2 pc (#4,7) out... am I gonna face any problem?

Can anyone confirm: where does the air delflector attach to? to the front bumper piece, or to car under body?
if it's to car under body, the air deflector won't be any lower, although the RJ kit (front bumper) is lower
if it's to car under body, the air deflector won't be any lower, although the RJ kit (front bumper) is lower
