Federal 595 Tires

Anyone familiar with these? Apparently they're supposed to be pretty damn good tires both dry and wet. Also, although I don't plan on doing any drifting, because of it's good horizontal/vertical properties, they seem to be the drift tire of choice.

I've got a hook-up. Think I'm gonna try them out instead of going with the Proxes 4, Nitto NT555 (again), or BF Goodrich's.

Just looked them up. They look pretty aggressive. let me know how you like them. teh nittos just arent cutting it for me as far as traction. I had a set of federals about 2 years ago on my RSX before my turbo and I liked them but I tell you that they would have not been as effective with the turbo on it.

Yeah, you might want to check out the Federal 595RS's. More of a slick so better gripping when compared to the standard 595.

Can't wait to try them out. For $149 on a 245/35/19, it's hard to beat. My other choice was a Falken 452 for $169.

Or....I found some BF Goodrich G-Force T/A KDW 2's for sale at $166 each!!!!

Check out Tirerack. For 245/35/19 they have General UHP for 129, Kumho SPT for 138, and Bridgestone Potenza RE050A for 141 each. Plus shipping of course. But I'd try the SPT or RE050A first, way before Federal.

I have these tires on my 19's and no complaints. I was going to go with a DUNLOP but when I was able to get all 4 brand new for 112 each I saw no reason to spend the xtra money when all I really do is commute to work...

No real complaint on my end they have a nice aggressive look which satifies my taste since I love the GoodYear F1's....but at the end of the day I saved about 400 dollars and its all good...

thanks for the responses.....although bridgestone is having sales on their tires I think I'm gonna go with the federals. The price that I'm getting is pretty good as well. Extra cash saved going to coilovers after changing out my koni neuspeed/Tein S-Tech setup.

I noticed you were in miami. How do the Federals handle in the rain? Any major hydroplaning? Thanks!

Special-ed; I would like to complain about them becuase I remember telling myself your getting into a pce of shit tire just to save some bucks...basically giving myself the whole guilt trip.

Well it turns out I have nothing bad to really say... they been good both in wet and especially in dry weather. I have also in the 4 months that I have them on have hit some major bumps and when home gone off to look around and nothing. So for me they been working out great.

Plus I really like the design... Not bad tires for the $ + I did what your doing saved the money and bought the TEIN springs in the same day.

Well good luck with them...

Thanks again, I think you just helped me seal the deal. Can't be too bad of a tire if all of the drifters are using it?!? Softer rubber compound so I do know that tread wear will be faster but for the price and increase in gripping power, I'll suffer.

Yeah, I have S-Tech springs with Koni's right now.....gonna get the Tein SS soon.

Glad to help... You won't go wrong with the TEIN's SS ... Im thinking on doing pretty much the same ride around on my TEIN Basics and then after a year before they mess up the stock suspension upgrade to the SS.

Best of Luck
